Here is my Law of Attraction Story

Valentine's Day

It was 1pm Valentine’s Day 1998. My date still hadn’t called to confirm our appointment that evening. I had not heard from him for two weeks prior, so I thought he simply wasn’t that interested.

Finally I could stand it no longer. I went to the phone and called to cancel the date.

As I sat lonely and wondering what could I do now to salvage Valentine’s Day, the phone rang. It was my sister. I told her my story. In trying to help she mentioned a technique for manifesting she had heard in many law of attraction stories which seemed to be the secret to success.

It was called release.

I was to start with thinking about all the qualities I desired in my desired mate and writing them down on a piece of paper.

Then I was to get really quiet as in a meditation. She said if I could find a pink candle to add to this meditation it would help me focus and concentrate. I did find one.

Then after lighting the candle I was to read off the description of my desired mate as if I had him in my life already. I was to see him, feel him and know he was there.

Then I was to take the piece of paper which held his description and burn it up, releasing my thought to the universe and let the candle burn down.

After that I was to do nothing unless I was inspired to do so.

So I did exactly this. The most important thing I did after this exercise was to do nothing. I absolutely trusted my love was on the way, and only did things I had to do or was inspired to do. I STOPPED looking for love.

Twelve days later at a condominium meeting I attended I ran into a man who later became my husband.

Apparently the common thread to success according to the law of attraction stories my sister had heard was releasing what you wanted to the universe. It allowed the law to work perfectly, and mysteriously, just as it was supposed to.
